A Edward Major, Counsellors-at-Law was founded in 1940 by A Edward Major, Sr, a former Bank employee, upon his appointment as real estate counsel.

 

Unlike most firms, A Edward Major, Counsellors-at-Law has always specialized in the representation of Banks in their mortgage lending functions:

  1. Loan origination, including Community Reinvestment Act loans
  2. Loan servicing
  3. Loan satisfactions and assignments
  4. Loan workouts and foreclosures
  5. REO sales

A Edward Major, Counsellors-at-Law treats bank clients as personal clients. Our Firm is an extension of the Bank, its employees, and its embodiment at the closing table. Our Bank clients are therefore not treated as a side business, where attorneys are rarely involved.

Our personal approach offers strategic value to our Bank clients. For example, we are usually engaged to handle the Bank's high end borrowers and troubled loans.

A Edward Major is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and England and Wales and has served Bank clients in all such jurisdictions. He maintains active membership on three (3) State Bars, the Law Society of England and Wales, as well as the International Bar Association.
