How do you set your fees?

Fees for private and business clients are generally set by written Retainer Agreements, which thoroughly set out terms and provide, among other terms, your right to terminate our services at any time, for any reason. In proposing a fee agreement, we take into account many factors in billing for services rendered, and we will review all bills and statements before they are issued to determine that the amount charged is appropriate. When we are retained, we tell you in writing what are our current billing rates, both for attorneys and for legal assistants. In transactional real estate matters, representation may be done by an agreed fixed fee or by hourly billing, whichever you chose.

What are disbursements?

Often it is necessary for us to incur expenses and out-of-pocket costs on your behalf. These might include, depending upon the matter, messenger services, overnight courier, and filing fees. You will be billed for all such costs associated with the matter.

May I have travel directions to your office?

From JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark airports, taxi is available to our door and bus service is available to the 42 Street Airlines Terminal, which is located directly across 42 Street from Grand Central Station at Park Avenue. From the front of the Airlines Terminal, walk south four blocks to 38th Street. Our offices are in a townhouse, four doors east of the northeast corner of 38th Street and Lexington Avenue.

From Connecticut and from Westchester County: Metro-North to Grand Central Station, exit at the front of the station (Pershing Square/Park Avenue), cross 42nd Street, and continue as above.

From Long Island: LIRR to Penn Station, subway or bus to 42nd Street, east to Park Avenue, continue as above.
